Books into Movies 2015

Whether you love to read a book first and then see the film, or watch the film and then read the book here are a few of the movies, either already released this year or soon to be released which have been based on books.

  • The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks. Starring Scott Eastwood and Britt Robertson and is the love stories of two couples, one elderly and one young.
  • Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith. Starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace and Gary Oldman. The story of a former policeman who tracks down a cruel killer of women and children in Soviet-era Russia and is based on a true story.
  • Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews.  Starring Olivia Cooke and Thomas Mann is the story of two awkward high school boys who befriend a terminally ill girl.
  • Paper Towns by John Green.  Starring Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne. A story about two childhood friends who are united by a mystery
  • Me Before you by Jo Jo Moyes. Starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin.  A love story about about a young girl and the paralysed man she is employed to help.
  • The Scorch Trials by James Dashner.  Starring Dylan O'Brien.  This is the second instalment of the maze Runner Series.
  • Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer.  Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Keira Knightly,Josh Brolin.  Based on a true story about a group of climbers on a journey to the top of the tallest mountain in 1996, and not all of them survived.
